Located in an area of great natural beauty near Lisbon but far from the hustle and bustle of the big city, the Arrábida Monastery meets all possible requirements for study, contemplation and the debate of major topics and ideas. In brief, it has all that is needed for a wide range of cultural and intellectual activities.

It is part of the Arrábida Natural Park, which is known for its rare botanical species, and has a temperate, Mediterranean style climate.

The Monastery is available to welcome other institutions wishing to meet, study, work at the premises, promote seminars and cultural, professional or scientific meetings.

The monastery has 16 double rooms twin beds) with en suite bathrooms. The dining room sits 60 people and meals are either buffet style or served at the table.

The premises are equipped with:
• Auditorium with 58 seats
• Conference room with 70 seats
• Secretariat room
• Bishop Room (located in the Old Monastery) with table for 12 people.
