10th edition of Macau Prize– Media Report

The 10th edition of the Macau Prize – Media Report was awarded to journalist Sandra Geraldo de Almeida Azevedo, for her news piece “As moradas do cinema”, broadcasted by the news program of TDM’s Macau Channel, on February 9, 2018.

Launched by the Fundação Oriente in 2009, the Macau Prize – Media Report aims to distinguish the best work of journalism about Macau, across the cultural and socioeconomic fields and published either in the territory or by Portugal media outlets. In 2019, 12 journalists submitted a total of 14 entries. The jury panel was constituted by Ana Paula Cleto, corrdinator of Fundação Oriente’s Macau Delegation;  Rosa Bizarro, teacher at the Macau Polytechnic Institute; Maria José Grosso, lecturer at the University of Macau; José Fernando Lino Pascoal, lecturer at the University of Macau; Joaquim Ramos, head of Instituto Português do Oriente and Harald Bruning, director of The Macau Post Daily.
 
The award ceremony is taking place at the Macau Delegation on December 4, 7 pm.

From January 2 to 31, 2020, submissions are open for the 11th edition of the Macau Prize – Media Report. The rules of admission are available online.

Submissions must be handed in by 6pm on 31 Hanuary, 2020, at the Fundação Oriente’s Macau Delegation, at Praça Luís de Camões, No. 13, Macau (phone number: 28554691).
